Default Hi!

I put my intro up on the main section,... but I thought I would post it here too. I really love to read everyone's posts here. I feel like we have a lot in common. So here is my hi!

Hi there! I'm Serena. Nice to meet you all. I've lost 30# since Jan this year. I still have 105# to lose. I set a lot of mini goals for myself tho and have already met a few. Like getting below the 270s for the first time since hitting them on the way up. Like weighing less than my dh at 254. My next mini goal is to weigh the weight on my driver's license... 240 (yes they make you put that on there,... isn't that cruel and unusual punishment). I reward myself with new exercise videos, inexpensive jewelry, and lately a lot of new clothes... all my clothes are too big now. Repeat after me: EBAY IS MY FRIEND! =o), !!! That is where I have been getting my videos and clothes lately. I'm around a size 20 if anyone has clothes they want to pass on!... I bet there aren't a handfull of women that would give out the information I just did about weight and clothes size! LOL.

I had been pretty lax in doing the Atkins program for a few weeks. I restarted Induction May 12, 2004. Let's see what happens now. I already feel so much better.

Serena

Welcome to the TDC Serena! Congrats on the weight you have lost so far. You are doing great! I think there are a lot of us lately who are kick starting again. I think it must come in waves. You kind of realize you are drifting and then get back on course.

Isn't buying new clothes fun? I love to go shopping these days.

Good luck to you!

Hi Serena,

Welcome to the TDC. I have really enjoyed the time I have spent reading the boards here. The more I read, the easier it is for me to keep on this woe. Come here often. Marty

Hi Serena,

It's nice to have you here! Congratulation on your progress thus far. That is fabulous. I too have been shopping ebay. I didn't know there were clothes there though. Oh boy, I'll have to check that out!! Don't feel bad, my license says 180# Well, see you around the forum and am looking forward to hearing more about your progress.

Hi! Love your name!

I also have rewards planned for myself. I told my husband when I reach my goal weight, I want a new wedding ring set. The band I wear now will be entirely too big by then, and I'm already shopping for the new one! But I also have other rewards planned along the way as well.

I hadn't even though about buying clothes off ebay. Thanks for the tip. Frankly, I'm surprised there isn't a clothes swap on this board. A friend of mine had WLS a couple of years ago, and the board she was on had a swap thing going on, where they would send their clothes to others as they got too big, so basically no one had to buy clothes unless they wanted to.

I'm kicking myself today because I forgot to grab my pedometer before I walked out the door this morning! And I've gotten more walking in today than I normally do! ::kick kick kick::

Glad you joined us here!

hi Crone. I like your name too. e-bay is awesome and i'm totally new to it. i started using it last month when THE TAX CHECK came back. i decided i could risk a couple dollars and try to get some exercise videos... well... that got me hooked... i got great exercise tapes for $3.24! and then i got a shorts and tank outfit for $1.50! i'm like wow this is so cool!

i can't wait to shop some more!

see ya around
