Default TOM Question...for the ladies HELP!

Hi ladies, I really need some advice. I am a week before the time of the month and I have put on a lb - I have never normally noticed a fluctuation in wieght at the TOM but I have never been charting it likle this!
What I wondered was - what is the normal pattern for you when it comes round to that time - it seems early for me to be stacking on the water weight - so is this normal that a whole week before my TOM I'm putting on weight?

What happens to you?

Emma xx

The week before I play with about 3-5 pounds...the same 3-5 pounds....losing then gaining, losing then gaining....I just stopped weighing myself the week before and the week of for the sake of my sanity.

I bloat the week before it. I'll be up easy 3-8 pounds. But it's gone just on time for TOM to hit. It's just water weight.

I think the reason you didn't notice it before is cause you weren't paying attention to the scale before. I know before I started Atkins I never worried about Oh the scale is up a pound or two cause I wasn't trying to lose weight. Now that we are trying to we are more aware of every pound. Make sense?

You'll be ok, don't let a couple of pounds get to ya. It'll go away.

Yes. Perfectly normal. Lucky you to have only 1 pound of it! Watch your salty food intake and keep drinking lots of water.

I usually put on a couple of pounds. I just stop weighing myself a week before, during, and a week after.

Doesn't count in the long run so why torture yourself.

I am up a good seven pounds the week before TOM. It's water weight. It will go away.

The good thing about TOM for me is that I usually get a nice woosh the week after.

Me too-I'm still bloated up and my time is here now. It usually takes about 1-2 days after my TOM for me to hit my low again. I bloat up 3-4 days before -so there's like 10 days a month I can't count on for good scale movement.

I am the same as everyone that posted so far. I can always tell when I am getting close to that time, because I do up a few lbs. I never could predict before, very irregular. By day 3-4 I am always back down, and sometimes even a lb or two more than my lowest.

I'm usually up 3-4 lbs the week before. About day 4, I lose it plus 1-1.5 lbs.
