Default Switching from Atkins to South Beach

Hi y'all! How has everyone been? Hope y'all are all doing well.

I wasn't on much in the last couple of weeks. After doing Atkins for a week about 3 weeks ago, I went off for what I thought would just be a weekend, but I started feeling terrible. To make a long story short, it turns out I had gall stones and just had surgery today to have by gallbladder out.

So now reather than going back of Atkins, I am going to try South Beach. I am still recovering from surgerythough, so it may be a few days (what an excuse to cheat, right!).

Hope everyone is keeping up with their goals!

Andrea

Wow turtle, I know I haven't been on the board very long at all, and maybe I shoudn't be commenting, but I would think the most important thing for you right now is getting better. But I know how you feel, no one wants to fall off the low carb wagon when they are sick much less having surgery like you are. The only thing is I have to believe your body is probably using up lots of resources just healing, so cut yourself a little slack.

Hi Andrea,

I sympathize with how you are feeling - I had gall stone surgery 20 years ago - the old fashioned way without the lazors....You need to focus on healing, drinking lots of water and slowly working your way back into your diet....

I believe that Atkins and South Beach are closely related...Let me know how it works for you.

Jacque
