Default Spending anniversary at a B&B, worried about food

My husband and I will be spending Memorial day weekend at a lovely bed and breakfast on the coast for our anniversary. We stayed at this same place last year, and I remember them serving a delicious breakfast. The problem is, I was not yet participating in this WOE last year. I started the day we got home from the B&B. I am a little concerned about what they might serve for breakfast while I am there. They told me last year they don't really have a pre-set menu, just sort of make whatever they feel like making. Last year they served fresh fruits, muffins, bacon/sausage, and an egg "casserole" type of thing that was basically scrambled eggs mixed with potatoes and onions and baked in a pan. I can make most of this fit in to the WOE, but I am worried about appearing rude if I remove the potatoes, or if they serve something like pancakes and I don't eat them Should I email in advance to see if it's possible to request a sugar free/starch free breakfast?

Just call ahead of time and say you require a special diet. Most places are privately run and have no problems trying to make your stay perfect, especially if you are a returning guests. I mean in the end, they want your business.

DW and I love staying at B&B's. We stayed at one on our wedding night and we try to stay at a B&B at least once a year.

I agree with Elsah. Call or e-mail them and tell them about your diet.

On the other hand, you might be getting ready to go on pre-maint soon, maybe you want to try eating some carby things to see how it affects you. Just dont overdo it.

As far as picking out the potatos, see if they will serve your breakfast in your room, that way, no one can see you pick at your food. And eating breakfast in the room is usually much more fun than eating breakfast with the other guests!!!
