Depends how easy you want it!

(I count cheescake as the cheese part only.... what would I want a base for - it's the cheese that's the good bit! )

Anyways... most basic..... for chocolate basic basic cheescake

couple of spoons of cocoa plus couple of spoons of splenda and a splash of hot water - basically make a paste so hardly any water.

Add however much of whatever cream cheese you want (I use philadelphia)

Add a splash of cream (optional)

Stir

Refrigerate for a wee while if you can stand it, otherwise just eat straight out of the bowl

You can then get a bit more adventurous and do stuff like whip up some cream and fold it in instead of putting just runny cream in, add an egg if you want and microwave it then let it cool down etc etc etc.

Just play with it

I made a gorgeous cheesecake the other night for guests.

1 100g bar white diabetic choccy (I got mine from Boots) melted
1 500g tub mascarpone cheese

Whisk together. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract. Chill. Then eat.

The other night I did

qty unknown... just randomly broke off, couldn't be bothered weighing it! 100% chocolate (from that online shop that LisaUK posted before)
15 I think Splenda tabs crushed
100g philly
drizzle of double cream

Melty melt chocolate above boiling water
Take off heat
Stir in sweetner
Stir in cheese
Chill

Pour drizzle of cream over before eating.

Just depends how complicated you want to get!

I just tried this, but without the vanilla - because I don't really like vanilla - but it tasted horrid!! All I could taste was the sweetner. Do you really need the vanilla to make it taste good - and do you eat it hot or cold? I found the thought of sweet hot eggs made me feel a bit sick! Is there anything else that you could put in it to make it taste better?

Umm...you could try lemon essence or even add 1 tsp of cocoa powder. Or melt in a square or two of sugar free chocolate. Try adding cinnamon and butter.

This is one of those love it or hate it dishes I guess. I use very little sweetener. 5 drops of the liquid Hermesetas does me.

Thanks LisaUK for the explicit instructions and picture for the mock danish, it was a life saver when I woke up late this morning NEEDING something different and preferabley sweet for breakfast. I remembered it and made it and it was just the thing!

I can now try a cinnamon and butter version next time I get a craving. Thanks again the picture made all the difference!

That's what did it for me. I WISH I could remember who it was that sent me a photo and the lower temp tip ages ago but it helped me sort the recipe out.

Oooooooooh I have to laugh. I have made mock danish probably a half dozen times or more.... and yes they are the sweet scrambled eggs version. Hee hee hee! I made them with cinnamon butter and splenda. I still liked 'em...that ought to tell ya how desperate I was for something different for breakfast.

Last time I made this, I added 2 squares of 72% cooking chocolate and some almond essence.

Made a delicious change.

Lisa, your photo looks great.
I made them once and DH didn't like the strong taste of splenda.
Where do you buy liquid hermesetas? i haven't been able to find a liquid sweetener.

I found the liquid Hermesetas in Boots. You don't need much!
