Smile New Carb King chocolate bars

JUst wanted to share, I usually have big issues with the regular carborite, atkins and other sugar free bars, but I bought one from my local health food store in calgary, the bar is made by a "Carb King" and they are available in 4 flavours, although I think they were sold out of two, so I tried plain milk chunk and almond chocolate - both were OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS - i had no maltitol issues from these bars as I believe they are made with less malitol than other bars but are bigger (Yes bigger bars !!) and cost less than the other ones out there.
Anyway, I ordered a box of the dark chocolate ones as they are lactose free too so i ll give those a try and let you all know how they are

Sounds good!

I have wonderful issues with maltitol, so it would be nice to know if you survive these bars!!

WELL!! I must say, these are by far, the BEST bars, I have had. The seem to made with less maltitol because I had no issues (you all know what i mean !) so this means I have found a bunch of bars I like. I asked the lady at the health food store and they said that they were a sample batch from the manufacturers. They would start ordering more once they are released nationally - I must say, I m really excited. I was getting so sad that I wouldnt be able to eat chocolate again due to the maltitol stuff in them ! wooooh - Carb King !!

They are not available in Canada as they are made with erythritol, however I have tried them on a trip to the states. I found them to be waxy, dont think i have found anything to top these carb king bars. However, I did ask the lady at the health food store, and she mentioned that the Carb King manufacturer will be introducing erythritol bars in Canada as soon as erythritol is legal.

I could have sworn I saw Carb Slim chocolates at Zellers that were made with Erythritol. I remember thinking I had never heard of that before. So, maybe erythritol is already legal?

I called Health Canada to find out and they said that no products in Canada legally can have erythritol in them until it is passed. They said, any products on the shelves will be pulled off, its a matter of time. I have seen the carb slim bars here in some places, but I guess they are taking a big risk in that.
