Wink Is this normal??

I was cooking spaghetti for the family last night and had a strange reaction when testing the doneness of the pasta.

I just had a small taste to make sure it was cooked properly.
(I didnt have any with the sauce) I made pretend spaghetti out of celery cut into thin strands. Thats what I had while the rest of the family had the nomal spaghetti bolonaise.

The point Im trying to make is while taste testing the pasta I almost had to spit out the pasta. It tasted so floury even though it was cooked the same as I always cook it (al dente)
In future I think I wont be even able to taste test it. It tasted truelly aweful.

I was wondering if others have had similiar experiences?

(I have had similiar reactions to taste testing a small piece of pizza)

Is my body trying to tell me something??????

I would love to hear how others deal with this.
Is this normal??

I have been locarbing since March this year.

I thank God that I no longer feel compelled to eat it anymore.

I have to taste stuff all the time, so I just taste it and spit it out.

Somethings are tasting like cardboard and I notice that even when I "cheat" I have a little and things I normally would eat gobs of just don't taste very good anymore.

A good substitute for spaghetti is spaghetti squash and it is the season for it. One cup has 10.5 carbs. I bake mine with garlic/basil flavored olive oil and eat just like that. It is so good I don't even need sauce.

Dazza, sounds like you are doing great. What a motivator. I am hanging in there and look to others that have lost significant amounts to see where I am headed! Thanks - Susan

Another good thing to put sauce on is bean sprouts. 2/3 cup has 1 gram of carbs. Can also be used for Chinese - chicken chow mein - 5 grams carbs for 3/4 cup. Not too bad.
