Water
Hi td2227,
The first thing that springs to mind is water. Dark test strips are often because of dehydration. Did your water intake vary from one day to another? LCers need to drink tons of water to flush the ketones away.
What are your average daily calories (should be 10 to 12 x your weight, ie 190x10=1900 or 190x12=2280 cals.)If you eat less cals, your body goes into starvation mode and conserves energy by turning down the metabolic rate. Stalls often are broken and weight drops off by increasing calories and carbs rather than cutting back even further. So if you weren't eating enough, the cheesecake might have been enough to persuade your body that it wasn't starving, it's safe to return to normal metabolism.
If you don't use www.fitday.com (free to sign up) I'd suggest that you use it to calculate the cals, fat, carb & protein. It's an easy way to make sure you are on track with your goals for carbs, protein and calories.
