Default Cool Whip vs Whip Cream

A friend of mine recently told me I could have cool whip. While in the grocery store I noticed Regular whip cream has fewer carbs (<1 per 2 tblsp as opposed to coolwhip which is 2 per 2 tblsp). Is regular whip cream ok to have?

Thanks for your help!

Cool Whip is not allowed, but you can make whipped cream by using heavy cream and sweetener, and even a bit of vanilla, which makes it taste more like cool whip. If it's in a can or carton, then it's probably got sugar.

Cool Whip is loaded with trans fats which are a no no. Both of them are filled with sugar.

Try whipping up your own heavy cream with splenda.

Thank you for your responses! I guess I thought it just boiled down to carb count .. how does sugar or trans fat fit into the equation?
