Default Lunch meat question

If it looks good, and it smells good, is slimy lunch meat still ok to eat? Or has it gone far enough past it's prime it should be tossed?

I think the slimy feel would be enough for me to pitch it... whether it smells or looks good or not.

Better safe than sorry.

If it's for you toss it. If it's for someone else, mix it with a whole bunch of other stuff and they'll never know!

No, seriously, I'd toss it either way . . . .

Yeah I kind of figured. The cheapskate in me was just trying to rationalize keeping a large package. It's in trash now though

OK, I'm a cheapo too, and I'm going to buck the trend and say it won't kill you to eat the lunchmeat, as long as it smells fine and tastes fine. Course, it depends exactly how slimy it is, and if there are green spots growing on it!
