Why would you avoid the fatty parts?

You are supposed to eat high fat....many lose the best when there fat content is 70% or more of daily calories consumed.

You should have eaten the fat too. It is what keeps you satiated when you start Induction (which I am assuming you are on).

Ribs without sauce have 0 carbs.

Now I have a craving for bbqed ribs.

You did great! No carbs at all in those ribs. Seriously though, have you read the book? If not, try to buy it or borrow it from the library, ti will be a lot easier for you to get started. Fat is our friend these days, and although it is a hard mindset to get into, once you have, you will do really well.

Ribs alone, as with any other cut of pork or beef, do not have any carbs, especially when eaten without BBQ sauce. But you have to be aware of the seasonings used to cook the ribs. Many Rib Rubs have sugar in them. So just because you didnt put any BBQ sauce on your ribs, doesnt mean they weren't necessarily NO CARB. It depends on how they were seasoned.

However, all that being said, you made a great choce in leaving off the BBQ sauce.
