Default Petrina's workout log

I tried to do Taebo when I first started Atkins a few weeks back and my uncoordinated self simply felt completely and totally doofus-like- learned about WATP on these boards and finally found the Express pack at Best Buy yesterday.

This morning, I tried the 1 mile and I am already hooked. Planning on working my way up to 2 mile, then 3 but for now I'm going to stick with 1 mile daily for a week or so. After I slim down a bit, I plan on moving on to the Firm.

Carla- you are too funny girl!

I wimped out on working out this morning due to TOM-related discomfort...but I later redeemed myself by taking a lengthy walk with the little guy- even jogged for a bit.

I also bought a pair of 2 lb. weights to use during WATP to "kick it up a notch."

No time for workout yesterday- but I did play three games of bowling (does that count???). This morning, first thing I did upon waking was the WATP 2 Mile Workout and boy did it kick my ass- knee lifts are what really get my heart rate going. Feel tired, but good. I definitely need some breakfast now!

Did WATP 2 mile again this morning. I just can't get the hang of the knee lifts, especially while doing upper body. I figure when I can do those well, that's when I'll move onto 3 mile.

Thinking of alternating 1 and 2 mile each day.

I'm taking the day off- my back's wonky from yesterday's workout. I'm blaming it on those cursed knee lifts. May try to do it later today.

Back on the WATP horse today- only it's a smaller one. Did the 1 mile.

Did the WATP 2 mile. I know there's an entire thread devoted to best time to exercise and many feel it's first thing in am with an empty stomach, but I had breakfast beforehand and I think it made a big difference in my energy level- I actually managed to do all the knee lift work without modifying it. And I felt much better, much more energetic throughout the workout.

Finished my WATP 2 mile at around 9ish and feelin' good.

Just so y'all don't think I completely slacked off since the 22nd, I actually danced for over two hours nonstop at the Prince Concert Friday night, sweating buckets while grooving and even more so when climbing the stairs to the restroom area (I had seats way down low- third row!). Saturday was a rest day and Sunday I spent a few hours burning in the sun while jumping over ocean waves. I'm such a kid.

Monday was spent on the road and then resting and recovering from nasty sunburn.

Today, I tried my hand (and feet!) on the WATP three mile. Had to stop and take a breather a few times but I didn't quit and stayed moving til the end. That one is a toughie...to be reserved for high energy days.

Howdy. Just wanted to tell you about my Power 90 experience. I was, I think 230ish when I started. I didn't keep a real journal (but i find when I do, I can notice when I need to make modifications in my diet) but when I stopped, I got to 198. But I was also low carbing so that helped a lot. The techniques in the videos aren't hard or complicated at all. More like bootcamp style exercises. Basic jogging in place, kickboxing. The most difficult is the power yoga segment. I say try it and if you don't like it before your 90 days, send it back. Nothing to lose.

Just finished the WATP 2 mile and am sweating profusely-- but feel pretty good despite my reluctance to pop the DVD in.

Just finished my WATP two mile- finally felt good enough to tackle it today. I had some stomach troubles last night and it kind of sucked the wind out of me for most of the morning.

It's really making a difference in my legs. My thighs are noticeably smaller and even getting some muscle definition. Woo hoo!
