Default How many lbs per week?

Hello,

I haven't been on this forum for a while now. But I have a question, just to refresh my memories. How much lbs can be lost in 1 week, reasonably, without any bad effects like muscle loss etc?

Not that it's safe or desirable but I lost 10 pounds in three days with the flu.

Not a fun way to do it and most of it is water weight because I'm so dehydrated.

The first week of any diet, the majority of weight lost will be water.

2 pounds per week is recommended.

Most lose 1-2 lbs a week after the so called Induction period. The first week or two you can lose as much as 10 lbs but most of this is water weight (on LC diet).
