Happy Easter

Could some one tell me how many carbs a whole artichoke has? The leaves and the heart. Thanks in advance

A whole artichoke (4.2 oz) has 13.31 carbs and 6.43 fiber grams for a net of 6.88 carbs. Hope this helps.

They must be in season - my DH bought them this weekend and we are having them for dinner tonight. I think you should weigh it though, the ones he bought are much bigger than 4 oz so we are each having a half of one. Fit day classified a 4 oz one as being 6 net carbs, with half of a large one coming in at 4 net carbs. Lots of fiber and good to eat so worth it I think!

And I"ve been eating asparagus like crazy. I bbq it with a bit of olive oil on it. Salt it and... oh my.
