I went through the same thing when I started. It was very weird, because I was always the one wearing a down jacket everywhere when everyone else was wearing shorts. Okay, not that bad, but close. Then all of the sudden I was burning up and having hot flashes. I adjusted after a week or two. That was the last weird thing that happened on induction to go away, but it did. I'm pretty sure it is a result of your body upping it's metabolism. Byproduct of burning energy is heat, so I found it encouraging.

I had the opposite problem. I would wake up with night sweats every night. Now that I do Atkins no more night sweats. I can't figure it out but I am grateful none the less.

Being really hot can be a sign that your metabolism is trying to deal with excess calories. I've had it after after I've really pigged out. Naturally skinny people, the ones that seem to eat anything and everything and never gain, have this in aces. Their bodies just burn off extra calories by generating extra heat.

Being cold usually means your calorie intake is low. I know I always freeze to death when I'm watching my calories, especially after I've lost weight initially.
