Since I started Atkins I have become a lot more interested in nutrition and health. I am thinking about doing a home study course for fitness and nutrition but I am a little concerned that it will be all low fat orientated and that I am going to have to go with things I dont agree with just to get the qualification.
Has anyone done this kind of course? what about my concerns are they correct?
I really want to do this as I am close to getting assistant instructor in Muay Thai and i feel the 2 would go together nicely.

I haven't done the course, so I can't offer any recommendations there. However, I took my daughter to a Registered Dietician to plan a food program for her, because she has only one kidney, and thus, cannot do low carb. She also has two diabetic parents. I was pleasantly surprised. The dietician put her on a controlled carb food plan, which was higher than Atkins but lower than the typical low-fat food plan. I think you may be surprised - the food educators are becoming more aware of carbs.

I do hope so I cant say I would be happy giving them the answer they want rather than what I now believe to be true.

If you have to play by somebody else's rules to get in the door, do it! Once you're in the door, you can work towards making a difference!

Do you know the story of the 100th Monkey?
