Default Just the Cheese

Just the Cheese Crunch Baked Natural Cheese Snacks.

I had bought a bag of the pizza flavored ones awhile back but hadn't tried them because the resemblance to rice cakes scared me LOL. But I opened the bag today and they are really good! They don't have too much of a pizza-y taste and the texture is interesting, nice and crunchy.

Has anyone tried any of the other flavors?

I have tried the Herb and Garlic and White Cheddar flavors. They are tasty, I'm just real leery of the sodium content.

I don't mind them for an emergency snack, but man, are they ever salty! :P I always pick up a big bottle of water along with them.

Love these but:

1. WAY too high in sodium...
2. Each bag has 2 servings...I end up eating the whole bag
3. Way too pricey....

I have tried the regular cheese and the herb ones. I have only eaten them twice and still have a bag and a half left from months ago. I guess I liked them in the beginning, but haven't had a desire for them. On another note, the only reason the "half" bag is still here is because dh was practically bingeing(sp?) one night and got into them. Needless to say he didn't like them at all so I told him to throw them away and he told me to keep them in case he wants to binge again because they'll definitely make him stop .

I love these things. I'm not concerned about the sodium--it doesn't seem to affect me. (Most people aren't salt-sensitive, despite all the hype about sodium raising blood pressure.)

I think my favorites are Herb & Garlic and White Cheddar. I tried the Sour Cream & Onion flavor today--my first reaction was "ugh" and the next thing I knew, I ate the whole bag. Kind of the same reaction I used to have to SC&O potato chips. Mmm.

I also like Nacho and Jalapeno. Ranch is OK.

Personally I'd like to see them come out with a Cinnamon & Splenda flavor, just for a little more variety.

I like all the varieties...

...but the sodium is so high! They also aint cheap. Where I buy them, the cheese bars are $1.50 and the bags of cheese rounds are $3.00.

They are a nice treat to take to the movies tho.

They do make a lower-sodium kind that's pretty good too.

Is everyone watching their blood pressure, or have you determined that sodium makes you retain water?

The sodium makes me oh-so-puffy...'specially when TOM is around the corner. Excess sodium can make me gain 3# overnight even when TOM is nowhere in site. I try not to binge on LC "salty" snacks for that reason. It is discouraging to wake up heavier, even if it is water weight! I find that cheese is one of those things I try to eat in moderation, cuz of the sodium content.

Yeah, I've tried the lower sodium version and it's good.

I don't usually pay much attention to sodium, unless it's overpowering. And I find it is in this product line. The added sodium tends to make me bloat a bit.
