Unhappy UH-OH, I cheated

My husband, ( I'll blame it on him) talked me into eating fried fish and a few fries and hushpuppies today for lunch, he said that it wouldn't hurt just this one time. I have been on atkins since Jan. 15 and have not cheated at all, and I haven't really had any problems staying on the diet. My question is, for the rest of the day should I stick to low carb , or will it hurt me now to eat any high fat food, like butter, for instance. I follow this diet exactly how it should be, (except for today...) It would be great if I could get some feedback...thank you.

KISS is Keep It Simple... a clean induction with basically just meat and vegetables. I don't personally think you need to get that strict to "undo" the meal. I'd say drop back a bit from whatever carb level you're at for a few days, and you'll be fine. That's what Dr A said to do!

I say act like it never happened when it comes to what you eat for the rest of the day. Try to get some heavy exercise to burn the carbs and drink lots of water. Most of all, don't be too hard on yourself and just get right back at it

Thanks all, I appreciate all of your good advise, I was even down a pound this morning, I did cut my carb intake a little more and exercised longer. I am kind of freaky about no cheating and I was really worried about eating the fish and fries, I probably won't do that again, it really wasn't worth the worry. I am down 28lbs. today....it is definately worth sticking to. Thanks Again, I can't believe how many really nice people there are on this site that really seem to care and are always very helpful and nice.

Hope the duct tape didn't hurt too badly when he finally let you up and you were able to make decisions on your own, again.

Just joking.

If you're committed to this plan, just turn your back on the slip and refocus on the next success.
