Default 2 week KISS challange

Hi everyone,

I posted this challenge in the challenge board but wanted to throw it out for my friends in the TDC. My goal is to be down to 259 by Easter. I have had other goals and missed them each time, usually only by a pound or two but I want to meet this one.

If some of you aren't aware of what KISS is I've posted a link with the rules below.

Who's with me?? Come on friends, lets KISS!!

Here is the link:

How bout we start on monday morning? I need to plan my weeks menu and go shopping for the food. I'm excited to do this. I really need something to jump start my weight loss. I'm a very slow loser and this looks like the best way to figure out what is stalling me. The hardest part is gonna be giving up my morning coffee.

I'm ready for my morning KISS. I've stocked my kitchen and planned my menus. I even bought decaf coffee. I hope I don't get a bad headache.

Have you thought about trying low caffiene teas? I really don't much care for tea, but I've become a HUGE fan of having a cup of white tea in the morning. The caffiene level is marginal, but it still gives me that feeling of having SOMETHING warm to wake me up in the morning. It broke me of my coffee routine!

I'm ready to go this morning! Right now my biggest problem is getting enough calories. My doctor told me not to go under 1200, which I used to think was a tiny number, but now that I'm never eating snacks between meals, seems awful large. I never realized how many empty calories were consumed by carbs! I've averaged 1400 over the past three days, and that's not even half of what I'm burning.

I love herb teas with no caffiene but I love that taste of coffee in the morning. I'll make myself a cup this morning and see what happens. I would love to give up caffiene anyway.

I know what you mean about calories. On the KISS website it says that this WOE is much lower in calories then the Atkins induction or OWL. I guess I'll have to put my menus in fitday and see exactly how many calories I'm getting. I don't want my body to go into starvation mode. I think it's great that you are seeing a Doctor about low carbing. I'm kinda winging it myself. I did get a physical before I started but didn't tell my doc because I didn't want him to lecture me.

Good luck to us today. I'll post tonight at let you know how I did.

Lauri

day two of KISS went well. Small headache but it went away by evening. I stuck to plan and this morning I'm down 2 1/4 lbs. I have been stalled for so long, it must have been something that I was eating or drinking that kept me losing so slow and stalling. I sure do miss my cheese though. My menu's are in my journel.

Hi Stephen,

I would like to do another KISS challange. I don't know if I can do a full two weeks. After the last one 1 week was all I could stand. I did lose 8 lbs on it though. When do you want to start?

Lauri
