Default another TOM question

hey ladies.

do you think it's ok to increase your carbs; just 5-10g during TOM on induction? it seems to help my cravings; so far the scale is still moving.

i've read a lot of the previous threads, but haven't found the answer.

THANKS!!

I once read an article about TOm and being hungry. it is natural to be more hungry during this time. i could eat and eat and eat that whole week b4 TOM. I am not sure how your body would react to upping and downing the carbs like that, but if it seems to work out for you, then do it! you could also add in more lc snacks too. or even an extra small meal.

I've been on Atkins for a couple of weeks now and and it's been that TOM for nearly the entire time! Usually it just lasts 4 or 5 days. I know my hormones must just be out of whack but it's been soooo hard to keep the carbs low for me. I've been doing it, but still craving TOM food and seem to get really hungry about every other day or so.

I read somewhere that you burn more calories durning TOM so you are hungrier. Maybe if you increased your calories this would help with the cravings and save you from eating more carbs. I usually try to eat more fat to carry me through.

Actually - I do just the opposite and lower carbs for a few days before and during. I basically go on induction to skip cravings/cramps/bloating etc and it works.
I do eat a lot of protein/fat without any worries about the calories........

I crave pasta before TOM, and sometimes give in and have some (mac n cheese, or rotini with mozzerella) for just one meal. I still lose weight when my TOM is over.
