No problem, Rocky...but (I should have included this disclaimer when I gave you the name) please do be careful...this candy causes severe bowel distress and stalls in many people. If you try them go easy and see how they affect you...and if you stall you'll know what it likely is.

You go girl. You showed marvelous restraint. She wouldn't know "class" if it bit her on her butt!
You look wonderful .......You know she was just jealous

WTG - I can just see you pirouetting in the aisle!!!

I think you handled that fool very well. It would have been really easy to tell her that she is full of crap, but you represented us LC'ers very well!!!

(My Mom is a nurse and she and several people at her work are all low-carbing, including a respiratory therapist. I guess we need to find a urologist amongst the ranks to really put that myth to rest! )

My dh's cardiologist told us he lost 40 lbs. on Atkins!

Also, freckles, you handled yourself very well. Its hard to not react when someone just reams your way of life, especially when you dont even know them. I am planning, when this happens, to just look at them and say "Please explain to me how sugar, processed foods, and white flour are good for me". Im hoping that will stop them dead in their tracks, but if not, I hope I can be as kind as you were .

You most definitly handled it far better than myself. I would have just turned and left. You did great. Kudos to you. And thanks for defending this WOE.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I think I would have asked her if she knew anyone personally who had developed kidney problems doing Atkins.

Oh well, what goes around comes around. Maybe she went out to her car and found that she had a flat tire. ;-) Gosh, I'm evil.

I especially like the part where you twirled around to show her your slim bod!

Don't know why people can be so hateful. I haven't encountered anyone quite THAT hateful. I think you handled it well and who knows? Maybe you planted a flea in her ear (I've always wanted to use that saying.) Who knows? Maybe someday she will really research LC and try it. The memory of that twirl may haunt her forever!
