Talking It was hard not to laugh....

Last night at work they were talking about the company meeting Saturday morning before the store opens, they are serving bagels, and donuts, coffee. I figured out in my head I'd bring a lc egg salad sandwich on lc bread, and told a friend, then this really large girl says "Oh are you doing Atkins" and I said "Yes", and she said "oh all that fat can't be good for you".....I took one look at her and it was really hard for me to just smile, when I wanted to crack up right in her face!

I was w/ a friends and I bought my ds pretzel sticks./ Jesse asked, "mom, am i torchuring you?" I said, yes, they smell so good. The very overweight/obese cashier replied, "yes, they are good, I eat them all day"

I wanted to tell her about Atkins but I was new to it at the time. I feel really bad tht I didn't.

Well, I have to admit that a few years ago this guy at work went on Atkins to get ready for his destination wedding in Mexico. I didn't say anything to him but a coworker and I were talking about what he was eating and I said he's crazy--what the heck is he eating, cutting out food groups can't be good for you....yada, yada, yada. NOW, I'm eating crow (naturally LC ) and doing the same plan he was and somebody is talking about how crazy I am....

love the cartoon as well
don't have a funny story but i was at a health food store the other day and met a guy who lost 100 lb on atkins. He still was fairly overweight, but was so committed to the program--kept analyzing the labels, told me how sugar alcohols cause stalls. It was so motivational!

marchbaby-- just wondering, your plan is Atkins nutritionals? does that differ from just atkins?...how so?

I've either seen it called that on the atkins website or on an Atkins product. When I find it, I'll post. Either way, it's Atkins as you know it.
