Corri - we will make it!
Yup, I slipped up with the Macadamia's, but then I'm not really on Induction as I'm more a 'Charles Clarke' devotee. I'm just trying to get myself back to serious 30g a day LC.
Have been struggling with keeping away from the red wine (why is than not surprise), otherwise OK.

I restarted on Monday 8th... and successfully did my first two days at around 15g carbs per day, then yesterday I had roughly 25g - and this morning I just had a small piece of chocolate cake (14 carbs...) because it was someones birthday at work!!!! and I just couldn't resist... ho hum. Will try and not go over 25g carbs for the day again, and then reduce it down to just under 20g for Friday - and see if I can keep on track!!!

Helen.

Hi guys!

Well, it is Day 4 for me .... LondonIan ... can hear you on the wine temptation!!! Especially hard as we have just returned from a 'booze cruise' the other weekend and we are packed to the rafters with cases of wine!!!

Meals so far:

Brekkie; Chocolate protein shake made from water and just a touch of cream

Lunch: 2 small pork chops with a leafy green salad ...

Have to say a big thanks to all of you ... it is so much more easier and interesting with some buddies to do this with!!!

Hello All,
I found this thread today, but interestingly enough I started induction on Monday the 8th. I have been off LC for a while now and need to redo my stats. Did not do well this winter at all. I am back on induction and have been doing well so far. I have to keep my carbs to nearly zero for me to lose weight initially. So far my diet has consisted of mostly meat, eggs and cheese. My starting weight I am sorry to say is 218 (up 14 lbs from my low on October 23 last year). Wow that hurts! I am determined to get it back off and then some for summer NO!!! make that for life. My best to you all.

loozinit

P.S. Lindy - I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your weigh in chart.

Hi loozinit!!!

Just wanted to say a big hello!!!! You are really welcome to join the induction thread ... it doesnt matter when you start, just as long as you get things going!!! I have found this thread really good for keeping to plan and also having a moan if need be!!!

The weight loss targets in my signature are part of a different challenge that I have started called the F1 challenge, this is targets based on certain dates within the Formula 1 motorsport calendar.

Scroll back if like to view the thread, it will probably be on page 2 or 3 of the challenges ... I would love it if you wanted to join it ... the more the merrier and we can both keep each other on track!!! Just re-adjust the weight targets to suit your own weight-loss, and by Oct 24th we will be slim chicks!!!!

Lindy,
I found the F1 challenge and joined. Thanks so much for the info. It looks like a great challenge. My son will be getting married on Oct 2nd and I need to lose as much as possible. See you later.

Hello everyone.

Welcome Helen and Loozinit.

I had another good day yesterday. Menu in my journal.

I'm still staying away from the scales. At this stage I plan to weigh myself after two weeks of Induction. I'm certainly hoping for a pleasant surprise.

Keep up the good work, gang!

Roz

Hi, All!

Glad to hear you're doing well Re-inducting!

I'm tired and sore after my visit to the Dr's (they drew 5 vials of blood, and my veins are very, very naughty!), but at least the Dr seems enthusiastic about this WOE! She told me to keep up the good work (my resting pulse is down from 96 to 64 just from doing this WOE and exercising regularly for 3 months!!). Anyhow, I won't know what's up with my tests until next week, and I'm pretty tired and lethargic . . . not my usual spunky self

On a more positive note, I've lost 3 of the 4.5 I gained and am being good about Induction.

Here's what I had to eat today:

B-chicken breast with a tbl of mayo
L-pork loin leftovers, cauliflower, and 8 cheddar cheese cubes
D-8 "buffalo" wings and a salad with parmesan and ceasar dressing
and . . . . at least 80oz of water.

Good luck with day 5!
Sue

Good Morning,
I had 4 good days on induction. I am aiming for 14 days and going to exercise starting today. I weigh on Mondays and will post then. It looks like everyone is doing well and my best to you all for the weekend. Keep up the good work.

Food post for today (day 5 of induction) is:

Brekkie: 4 rashers of bacon and a fried egg
Lunch: smoked salmon with small leafy salad
Snack: chocolate whey protein drink
Dinner: 2 chicken breasts that I had marinaded in spices then roasted in the oven, with mashed brocolli/cauliflower in which I had also put a bit of grated cheese, a green chilli and some butter ... nice - although really filling and I couldnt eat it all!!!!

Hi Lindy, Sue, Kathryn and the rest of our gang.

I had a pretty good day yesterday, although I may have eaten a spot too much. Am using Fitday today to help keep me under control.

Yesterday's food.

Hi guys!!!

Food log, day 6 of induction:

Brekkie: Chocolate whey shake whilst reading the papers
Lunch: pack of parma ham
Dinner: beef burger with roquefort cheese and spring onions ... a tiny portion of greek yogurt with raspberries ...

Not exactly an Atkins-kosher day but have had some serious cravngs today ... dont know if they are part of the 'seven day itch' that will probably hit me tomorrow!!!

Hope that I feel a bit more perkier tomorrow!!!!
