Question Gum and the Introduction Diet

I am still on the induction diet and have been for 4 days now. Anybody know what, if any, type of bubble gum (sugar free of course, without aspartame (spelling?)) is permissable? Thanx!

I think that you aren't getting any responses because we don't know of any (well, at least I haven't heard of any sugar-free bubble gums). And then again, I haven't "looked" for them either.

Don't use the gum. It gets stomach acid going and can cause hunger.

I only tried sugar-free gum once and got immense cravings for something sweet. My girl friend on the other hand has no problems with it at all.

I chew gum all the time and it hasn't effected me. I'm still on induction as well, and I've been losing. I have to have something minty in my mouth because I have to speak with a lot of people at work. Hasn't bothered me....yet.

Hi,
I also chewed a lot of gum in the beginning! People always say "stay away from this or that" but you have to do what will get you through. I started out eating LC candybars galore and chewing tons of gum, if I didn't have that I may have never made it this far. Eventually, I weaned myself of the bars and only chew on occasion. Anyway, if you go to Splena.com you can look up what products use Splenda. I actually found another site that listed tons of gums, I'll see if I can find it for you. HTH

I may have been mistaken in what Weezer was asking for. I think that she is asking for "bubble" gum and not chewing gum. Does anybody know of any?

In the case of chewing gum, Extra does have some sugar alcohols. So, it is a YMMV (Your Measurements May Vary) type of frankenfood. If they cause you to stall, then get off of it!

Here's a link for some products. It looks like there is a berry bubble gum.

Funny you should ask this. Just yesterday I saw sugar free Bazooka bubble gum at the local Shop-Rite store. It was right next to the regular Bazooka bubble gum. No aspartame, but it had 2 types of sugar alcohols.

Trident makes a sugar free "bubble" gum that is pretty good IMO. Like stated above......sugar alcohols are usually present though
