Default zaxby's wing sauce

Hey everyone,
I'm not sure if all you guys have this restraunt chain in your area, as I believe its a southern chain, but here in Georgia/north Florida we have a chicken finger/wing chain called Zaxbys. I've always enjoyed their hot wings even when I wasnt Low-carbing, yet I'm very frustrated and disturbed as to how their nutrition information seems to be a hidden mystery. Their website doesnt have anything concering exact nutrition information and I called their customer service hotline and they told me they didnt have any of this information. I've searched online and have yet to find anything as well. They did take my information and said they would make a refferal to their upper managememnt with my request. (who knows if I'll even hear from them though) I occasionaly get mild chicken wings from them and wanted to know the carb count on the sauce. From yalls experience, is most wing sauce low in carbs or should I be concerned about this. I stay at 20 grams a day and if these 10 wings that I'm eating are outrageously carby, then I'm probably ruining my weight loss. I know the average wing sauce is like 1 or so grams, but who knows what the heck Zaxbys might put in theres! Thanks everyone

Brittany

Heya i love Zaxby's too. I eat there all the time, their mild sauce DOES have sugar in it though. So i just get them dry and put my own sauce on them. I had the lady check for me. They dont bread the wings or anything though.

Hey thanks for the info Moonwalker. I will just have to get them dry from now on. You said you use your own sauce. What kind of sauce do you use? Guess I'll just have to keep a jar in my purse or something! haha Hey, and do you remember by chance just how much sugar was in those wings. I'm never going to eat them again, but the reason why I ask is because I had them tonight for dinner! =)

I just assume Zaxbys sauce is not a good thing. Oh, it is a good thing but not if you are low carbing. Way to sweet and yummy. Good thing they wings are good without it!!

Sure, i buy the Hooters Wing sauce. You can get it at Wal-Mart or Target or Kroger. I then mix it with some butter and heat it up in the microwave. Its kind of expensive, but it is by far the best wing sauce you can buy from the store. Its REALLY good.

and no i dont remember how much sugar was in them, i ate them a few times and noticed i was slowing up a little bit. So i thought that they might have sugar in the sauce so i asked, i didnt ask how much. IT isnt enough to knock you completely out of ketosis though (at least it wasnt for me).. so dont worry.

To my knowledge most, but not all wing sauces that you purchase in the store are 0 to 1 carb, usually 0.
