Talking Weight Loss At Last!!

I have been on the Atkins diet for about a week and have been feeling much slimmer with most of the fat on my legs being burnt up. I have also had people notice that I have lost weight at work. However the scales have still said 17 stone. How ever today after I had thought i had messed the diet up I weighed and found that I have lost 4 nearly five pounds.

Is this normal??

Measure yourself to really get blown away with shock now and then. It's a great motivator to keep up the good work!

Like others have said, that is absolutely normal. I lose weight in clumps-Several days of no loss, then a loss of two or so lbs. Everyone differs.

Keep up the good work!

I stalled in weight after the first week, but was losing inches rapidly.

Measure, measure, measure. If you're exercising too, then you may be adding muscle and reducing fat at the same time without losing weight...not a bad tradeoff!
