Question Do Calories Matter in CAD???

I just have a quick question about the CAD diet and if calories matter or count towards the diet.
I usually control my calorie intake during my low carb meals but I go "all out" on my reward meal. So, I was wandering if this might the reason as to why my weight loss is very very slow.

At the outer limit calories count but for CAD, balance counts more. If your RM is an all out binge that causes insulin problems. Try for more balance rather than worrying about calories. On the other hand, it might be that your calories are too low at your CMs and that's what's causing your out of control RMs. By the time you get to RM you're STARVING!!!

Thanks Zuleikaa!

Now, Its been a while since I actually read the book, but I still remember the basics of this CAD program. I have heard of people talking about "balance" on this site and if you could please refresh my memory, but what kind of balance do you mean?
It would be really helpful and it would give me a better understanding of the RM.

Make sure you have an equal amount of protein, fats, and carbs at your reward meal.

Default RM in balance...

As far as I understand the balanced RM appeared in the CALP, not written in CAD, that's why you might be getting a bit confused about the term "balance".

balance your RM in thirds means...

small salad first and then:

1/3 protein
1/3 craving reducing vegetables
1/3 carbohidrates (including drink and dessert)
