Introducing myself
Hi all. I found your forum last night and just wanted to introduce myself.
I have a weight problem and I've decided to do something about it. I'm looking forward to getting support from this board because I know I won't be getting it at home.
I haven't started a program yet - I've been checking out different programs and have basically narrowed it down to one or two. However, I have set March 1st as my begin date. I'm 50 years old and live with my mother. When I came home from work last night and announced that I wanted to start a program, she laughed at me. She laughed because I have no will power, I love my sweets, breads and pastas and because I set a start date 10 days away instead of saying I'm going to start today.
However, March 1st has significance for me - it's the day that I start regularly scheduled hours at work (instead of "floating" whenever they need me) so I think it will be easier to follow a disciplined eating schedule while maintaining a regular work schedule. It will also give me a chance to look over different food recipes and find those that will be easiest to prepare while sticking to a low carb menu.
Here's hoping that I succeed!
