Default 2nd time around seems slower

Hi, This is my second time on this diet. The first time I lost 110 lbs in a little over a year. I then got marry and had a baby so I had a hard time keeping up on the diet. I gain back 50lbs. Now that everything is settling down I am back on it, but this time I've only lost 12 lbs in the last 5 weeks. Only thing I'm doing differently is eating the "low carb" foods that are availble now but not before (pizza mix, flour, pancake mix, etc.) The diet is easier this time around because there are so much more food to choose from than before. Just hope that these low carb foods are really low carb.

Dave

Heh! I saw you "had a baby" and figured you gained weight with the pregnancy... then I saw your name is Dave.

You have less weight to lose too. That will make it slower. Also, unfortunately as you get older your metabolism slows down.

Smile I'm back again too

I am back on low carb again too, I have been very lazy with my eating habits for the last several months. I gained back 5. I originally lost 28. I will get the five off and take off an additional 10 this time. I think that the new "low carb" food items available now should not be trusted. I always check the label before I buy anything. I think it is interesting how, "all of a sudden", food manufactures can make such wonderfully low carb foods. Good luck with the weight loss, and it's true, the less weight you need to lose the slower it will come off. It took me 8 weeks to take off 20 lbs. Slow but steady.
