soo funny. I saw a PETA sticker on a parking meter last night when I was walking my dog. It had a cartoon chick on it saying "Im not a chicken nugget..."

These people are so silly. Imagine what good that money could do if it was put into education and control programs....

OOps, sorry I heard this part:

<<<I interviewed him about his diet. I don't know what his politics are. I interviewed him twice for 30 minutes on the radio. I don't know Dr. Atkins, and I did this, you know, back in the seventies.>>

I thought he meant he did the diet in the 70's not the interview,,, my bad....
LOL. I think he used a lot of the Atkins ideas tho,, as in reducing sugar and starches...

What's so wrong with the People for the Eating of Tasty Animals?

I was reading through my MIL's PeTA magazine last weekend.

They are a sick and disgusting bunch. They want people to box up their dog's feces and send them to the president of IAM's and let him know that their practices with their dogs stink. However, if what they say is true, and I highly doubt 95% of what they have to say, IAM's cuts off large chunks of muscle from dogs (and don't give them veterinary care afterwards) legs to test whether or not the food is nutrional enough. I'm sure that they only take a few cells from the muscle of their test dogs.

Rush rocks. I've had it up to here with misinformed critics of Atkins and snide remarks about its unhealthiness. Rush reaches over 15M people- its an enormous advantage to have someone of his caliber and reach speaking the truth about this way of eating.

If God didn't want us too eat animals, why did He make them out of meat? And why did He make them soooo delicious?!?!?

Sad when an organization cares more for the lives of animals than they do for the lives of humans. As humans, we should be good stewards of the Earth and her inhabitants, but the trees and the cows are not above the human....who is unique and of immense value. PETA supports abortion for humans...I wonder what their position is on abortions done on animals (maybe they are against those abortions becasue the animal isn't making the "choice"). Most animal rights groups are against the destruction of endangered animals...like if the egg of a bald eagle were to be deliberately smashed, thus killing the tiny bird inside. Would they hold the line that the bald eagle only becomes a bald eagle when it is hatched? No, a person who kills an unborn/unhatched endangered animal can have legal action taken against them! Isn't that sad and scary? It is to me.

PS...a prolife group I saw on a local college campus does the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) and they have been decried by animal rights activists on campuses for comparing the "holocaust of abortion" to the "Holocaust of the Jews" and other forms of genocide (lynchings of AA, Rwanda, Cambodia, etc). NOW PETA has launched an IDENTICAL campain comparing the meat industry and the killing of cows to the Holocaust of the Jews! Abortion (where the life of a genetically human being dies) is can NOT be compared to the Holocaust, but killing animals to provide food for the meat eaters of this country are equal to the what the Germans did and the cows lives are equal to the lives of the Jewish HUMANS who lost their lives? How insulting. In case any of you are interested in learning more on the GAP project and seeing the link to the PETA site that has hijacked the same tactic, visit www.abortionNO.org

So do hats taste better with salt or splenda?

I absolutely despise Rush, but I have to agree with him on this one.

The fact that these nuts not only illegally got but published someone's private medical records is criminal. I hope there is a good HIPPA lawyer out there who will sue them for their net worth. And they hold themselves out to be responsible doctors! What a crock!

And I knew that PETA was nuts when a roommate (who was a dog owner no less) decided to try to purchase meat-free dog food. HE WAS A DOG FOR GOSH SAKES! What part of carnivore do you not understand? *sigh*
