Thumbs up Just noticed some things at Trader Joes

Now sorry if all of this has been posted before. I just found some soy and fax seed tortilla chips. Now these are da kine! They don't have so much of that soy chip tast or mouth feel. Very good even on their own. 13 gr per 1 oz serving. 5 gr dietary, 1 gr soluble and 3 gr insoluble.
I also found Trader Joe breads. I bought the cheddar and garlic bread. 6 gr with 2 gr dietary fiber. Good texture and it tastes kind of more like garlic bread. They also have nut and cinammon and another nut bread.
The next item for those who drink low carb milk (I do not) they have Hood's milk in 1/2 gallons. Comine that with their low carb apple and cinammon flavored cereal and you are in business.
I know some have already mentioned their low carb pasta.

I got the chips as well. They taste great and are way cheaper than the Carbsense soy chips (which I think taste pretty good too).

Hi all,

I, too, went into Trader Joe's after getting their new flyer in the mail yesterday. I am one to buy the new LC products that I find once, try them, and if they are good, go back (quickly) and buy more, LOL.

Here is what I found today at TJ's and my humble opinion (of the ones I've tasted)..... these are in addition to the ones already noted above.

1) Cheese Puffs- these are probably the best LC cheetos-type that I've had. I wish they were a bit more cheesier, but they are not bad at all. Definitely worth trying if you like/miss cheetos.

2) Waffles, yes waffles! In the frozen food section they have 2 types of reduced carb waffles: multi-grain and blueberry. Can't wait to try these tomorrow morn!

3) Cheddar Garlic Bread- Haven't tasted yet, but smells great. Plan on toasting with butter to have with some Italian dish one night this week.

4) Unique Origins (70%) Chocolate Bar- Okay, this isn't technically LC as is it made with sugar. But like many other very dark chocolates (e.g. Lindt brand) it is relatively low in carbs because the cocoa content is so much higher and sugar so much lower than, say milk chocolate. Plus, I absolutely HATE sugar alcohols, so I will make room for the sugar in these and try to eat them moderation, with TRY being the operative word!

If I remember and have time, I'll post again here and let you know what I thought of the products noted above that I haven't tried yet.... IMHO.

Bye for now.

BTW, the waffles are TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!! Can't tell the difference between the regular ones. I've only tried the blueberry, but they are a must have for folks who previously enjoyed frozen waffles.

I, too, got the new TJ flyer in the mail earlier this week. I haven't gone yet, but I imagine DH and I will be making a trip this weekend since we are running low on wine (oh, horror!!).

About 50% or more of the things advertised in their new flyer are low carb products.

I love, LOVE, LOVE Trader Joes!!! We have one just 3 miles away. I am currently interviewing for jobs, and every time I get an interview I check the TJ website to make sure there's a TJ in that town. Otherwise, I don't want to move there.

They have a new low carb beer that is fantastic! Coastal Light Lager, 3.9 carbs and a much richer flavor the Mich. Ultra or Miller Lite. I also like the complete protien bread, 8 net grams carbs per slice, and the is a full sized slice--a lot of these low carb breads are small, soft and thin, this one is thick and hearty.

Thanks for the info guys ... The Trader Joe's near me isn't super-convenient, but I'll make the haul out for the bread, chips, and waffles you are talking about.

Also a fan of soy and flax seed tortilla chips. I just bought some today. I also found TJ pita bread with soy protein. I think 15 net carbs for a 1/2 pita but yummy.
