Default carb count please?

Hello there,

I'm having trouble calculating the carbs for the following. It's been my staple breakfast for a few weeks and I've been guesstimating... Fitday doesn't provide the measurements I need on these.

2 tbsp cold milled flaxseed
1 tbsp wheat bran
2 tbsp plain soy protein (I think that's 0gms)

Thanks very much!

Aria~

You might try this carb counter. I know several feel fitday is not 100%. I hope it helps

My reference doesn't have flaxseed.

Wheat bran is 4.5 grams carb in 2 tbsp with 3.0 grams of fiber. So 1 tbsp should be 0.75 net grams.

Soy protein is 8.8 grams per ounce with 1.1 grams of fiber. I do not know how many tablespoons are in a ounce or soy protein, but an estimate would be 2 tbsp per ounce, so approximately 8 net grams in two tablespoons.

If you food packages have the nutrients, you can create a "new custom food" in fitday.

Fitday also has the carb counts for flax. It isn't 0 like some packages state.

Flax seed has .7 per tablespoon (net carbs) according to Fitday, I believe.

Default Thanks!

This steers me in the right direction at least... gotta get that fiber!
On Fitday I was only seeing cups of flax... perhaps it's the user interface!!
