I have officially now lost over 40 lbs AND made it under 300! I am so jazzed, this after the emotional upheaval in my life of losing my mom.I really needed some cheering up.Thank you all for the inspiration, here's a toast to losing that much more

That is such wonderful news. I remember when I first started that I would be grateful when I would get under the 300lb mark. I hadnt remember seeing my weight start with a 2 since high school over 13 yrs ago.

Keep up the great work and you will reach your goal in no time.

Congrats to you! Sorry you've had a rough time and such a horrid loss. It looks liek you are choosing to live your life now and that's grand! I bet you feel better dont you? after my 40 I was really feeling better.

Sorry about the loss of your Mother, It can be very hard to loose someone that close. Mine passed in the spring of 2001 and though it has been three years this April I still miss her at times. 40 pounds what a great loss! You've done yourself proud, keep it up.

That's just terrific -- you've really progressed well. Getting under 300 was vital to me, for some reason, and I can perfectly understand how great a thing it is for you, and how good it must feel.

I notice you're not doing a journal so far. I have to recommend it as one of the best things you can do to help you along the way. The discipline of writing about it sure helps me work out things in my mind that I might not without the journal...not to mention all the good advice and comradeship that can come of it.

Way to go, you have done a ton of good for yourself!
