I was so happy to shop for new shorts, but heres the thing. The shorts I bought 2 months ago are now hanging on my hips. It makes me smirk but I think I will wait till Im at my final goal before shopping again.

That is an AWESOME story! Not boring at all! Just think, soon those clothes will be too big again (I 100% agree with the second hand thing BTW-- retail isn't going to get my money until I'm at goal ).

It's funny how you don't realize your accomplishments until you go shopping. And best yet, you can finally SEE the accomplishments in the better fitting clothes. I had a similar experience not too long ago. I knew my clothes were baggy but I didn't think they were THAT BAD. Now I know why my co-workers would yell out "BUY NEW PANTS!!!" every time I would walk by! It feels so good to wear something that fits!

Congratz! Job well done Adam!

WTG, Adam! I plan on showing my son your post.. Both he and I have lost 60 pounds each since the end of Aug. He will NOT wear smaller shirts. I FINALLY got him to wear smaller jeans.. Don't know why he insists on wearing those circus tent shirts. I've gotten him smaller ones but he says he's not ready. *sigh* Is this a man thing, or what? lol..

I have written down your AIM number and might be contacting you. Maybe you can talk some sense into him... LOL!

Congrats on your loss! Proud of ya!

J

Congrats Adam! Update your pics! Maybe the new you in your smaller clothes! Photos don't lie either. It's helpful to see the shrinking you in a series of pics...at least it's cheap motivation!

CONGRATS!! I have not gone to buy new clothes yet. In fact I am trying to HIDE my loss of 42 pounds from everyone at work by wearing long zipped-up big sweaters and things of that sort (no one has noticed my weight loss yet and they don't see what I eat) ~ I dream of the day (hopefully in late March) when it is time to rip off the winter clothes and slip into a spring outfit in a much smaller size!!

I thought that was a FANTASTIC story. I felt like I was right there with you in your head. I feel that way about bra sizes when I lose weight.....that reminds me of a funny piece of trivia for everyone to guess:

Who was the inventor of the bra?
