WOW - a true inspiration to me. I have been LCing since 5/27/03 and I still have 20 lbs to go. If you can lose 60 lbs in a year, then I can lose 52! Anything you did a bit different?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Congratulations!

Isn't it a great feeling when we compare where we were a year ago, to where we are now?

Wishing you continued success,

Frederick

thanks all!

ashley1 - i must confess i lost 50 lbs. in the first four months on atkins with no exercise. i know i know i should be exercising but i have not found the time. but i must say when have you ever seen a diet or a woe that you could eat so well on, still lose weight and not excercise or only exercise sporadically.

i am still shocked to discover that i have actually kept it up for a year - now i havent been trying to lose additional weight since like thanksgiving - only maintained through the holidays - but now i am back to trying to lose the last 10-20 lbs.

i am no longer considered morbidly obese and i have never felt better in my life. i dont think i have been this small even as a teenager - let me clarify - i weigh the same as i did as a teenager but i am able to wear smaller sizes now. more muscle i guess. i am only 5'3" so i could lose another 10-20 lbs. but i am not in any big hurry - what? is 10-20 lbs left after being 200 lbs for so long.

the best part is i am now able to steal clothes from my 15 yr. old. daughter that she is getting too big to fit into. that is soooooo cooollllll!!!!!!!!!!! YES. my daughter is not borrowing my clothes i get to borrow hers. who would have thought that would ever EVER be a possibility.

my how the tables have turned!

I AM OFFICIALLY AN ATKINS FANATIC!
I AM a LOW CARB OBSESSION!
i WILL FOREVER BE AN ATKINS ADVOCATE!!!!!

WHY OH WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO TRY THIS! ALL THE YEARS OF STARVING MYSELF ON LOW FAT HIGH CARB AND FOR WHAT NOTHING>

you must realize that i have had a weight problem since i was a child. there is nothing harder than being a fat kid. it drives your whole life. i can remeber being about 8 or 10 and going to behavior modification classes at my dr's office to help teach me how to eat low fat. I WENT TO A FAT CAMP WHEN I WAS ABOUT 11 YEARS OLD. i have done weight watchers, richard simmons, the cabbage soup diet, the grapefruit diet , jenny craig, lean bodies - YOU NAME IT I'VE PROBABLY DONE IT. i have tried every pill every gimmick, heck i even took kickboxing for a while but nothing and i mean NOTHING works or is so easy to maintain than Atkins & low carb.

with atkins and low carb i am in control - not food!!!!
