Default Salad Dressings...What do you use?

Hi Fellow CADer's!

What types of salad dressings are ya'll using at your reward meal? I must admit I am sooo NOT a salad eater but I know how important it is to keep the reward meal balanced and want to start eating more salads. Do ya'll stick to the lower carb dressings or do you use higher carb dressings? Since it is the reward meal I suppose we can use whatever type we want right? The only salad dressing I really LOVE is Olive Garden's salad dressing.. ..I know they do sell it at the restaurants and boy I sure would love to be able to eat that everyday on a salad..YUM!

Default I use

mostly Kraft products. I like the thousand island and the ranch best. And if I am having coleslaw I use Kraft coleslaw dressing on it. I don't worry about the salad dressing carbs at my RM at all.

Thank You! Im so glad to know that I can use whatever kind of dressing I want on my reward meal salad. I will be off to Olive Garden this week for sure! My hubby will be thrilled as well to know we can have any type of dressing we desire. He LOVES Thousand Island!

I used to have just olive oil for dressing, but I'm trying to cut back slightly on fats. Now I use cesear, or one I found called Goddess Dressing. It's not green goddess, I compaired ingredients. Instead this oen has tahini in it. It's interesting at least.

One of the reasons I like getting used to cesear is it is low sugar and carb, but almost everywhere I've found that serves salads has cesear dressing Try getting plain olive oil at a resteraunt and have them look at you like you have two heads.

I know this is a little strange, but I make my own dressing fresh every night. It is really easy, and tastes so good and fresh. I use olive oil and lemon jusice in equal amounts, and mix in at least one clove of crushed garlic, lots of fresh ground pepper, and a pinch of salt. I mix it in a tiny rubbermaid plastic container, shake it and pour. It tastes great on a plain salad, or with anchovies and parmasan cheese on the salad too. I'll mix it up with vinegar instead of lemon juice and make a "greek" salad with feta and olives and cukes too.

Question Newby.

So am I right in saying that the CAD way when it comes to salad dressings is LC during the CM and only low fat if there is such a combination as low fat/low carb dressings?
Then whatever you like at dinner (reward meal)?

Havent started this diet yet...but will be soon...way over the amount of fat on Atkins..and dairy!!! makes me feel nauseas.

Cheers Cheley.

I found a line of salad dressings in our local health food stores, and now in groceries, too, that I love. It's called Annie's Naturals, and they make some of the best vinaigrettes (without having to make your own). Some are very low-carb and are good with CMs, too.

Cheers Cheley.
