Default A river runs thru me...

for some reasons that seems to be the phrase i say everytime i make the 4 floor trek to the bathroom. I think I avoided drinking ANYTHING before because it was SO far..(now i could take the elevator, but would that REALLY be fair?)

Is there any such thing as TOO much water?

I am up every night 3 times for river break. Be thankful you are not a "mature" male with prostate enlargement and a full hour commute. I figure I have a bladder built for a 45 minute commute. Do not get in my way on my way in the house in the afternoon.

MisterE, I nearly fell off my chair laughing! Where else can you go for support AND entertainment.....THE TDC board. But, I know what you mean, I nearly knock people down on the stairs going down for a river break.

When I first began LCing, I had to pee so often that it was absurd. But then I began thinking of the treks as exercise...I mean, it was the most movement I had done in years. So it counts. Water+moving=your friend.

I was thinking the same thing re: 4 floors to get to the bathroom - talk about a built in commitment to get some exercise in!!

I hear you on the annoyance of getting up in the middle of the night but then again the annoyance of having an extra 100lbs to carry around every day.....that usually puts an end to that thought!

3kittens - it will get better as time goes on - I went through the rush to the John - and up 2 times during the night - now the only time I have to get up at night is when there is a whoosh - and I gladly get up!! The daytime hurry has abated as well. Hang in there.

LOL I'm laughing so hard right now! Drinking water period whether LCing or not will do that though. I've never had to get up in the middle of the night till I started drinking so much water. We have 2 bathrooms so we don't have to fight over them lol. But the one upstairs we have to tip toe to in the middle of the night because the lil one is a very light sleeper and the floor creaks so bad it will wake her up.

If I DON'T have to get up in the night to visit the bathroom I figure I have not been drinking enough water. I go once in the night (around 3), once when I wake up (at 6) and again about half an hour later.

Too much info?

Make friends with a medical professional and score a catheter with an ankle bag and save yourself some trips! I found my body adjusted after a while and I no longer needed to be running to the toilet all the time. All the best!
