Post Dieting Poem..

I posted this in the "Lighter Side" forum, but seeing I'm doing the Atkins diet I thought I would post my poem here also..

Twas the month after Christmas,
with the holidays all through..
I had such good eating,
my weight grew and grew.

The cookies I had eaten,
the eggnog's great taste..
At the holiday parties,
had gone to my waist.

When I stepped on the scales,
the numbers rose higher..
Should I tell them the truth,
or be found out a lier?

I remember the many,
fattening meals that were cooked..
With all that was there..
I should have just looked.

Ice cream and cake,
two pieces, not one..
I say to myself,
"Oh my, what have I done?"

The eggnog,
the rum balls..
the bread,
and the cheese.

Should have just said,
"No thank you.. please."

So-away with the last,
of the very fattening dip..
Get rid of the fruit cake,
every cracker and chip.

The many fattening foods,
just must be banished..
Till all additional pounds,
have just upped and vanished.

No more ice cream,
not even a bite..
My weight must go down,
from heavy to light.

I won't have hot biscuits,
corn bread, or pie..
My excess pounds,
must all go bye-bye.

I can just barely walk,
it's no laughing riot..

Happy New Years to all,
and to all.. a good diet !

Dakota Duce

P.S. I've lost 9.6 lbs the first 5 days of my diet.
