Talking hello

[B][LEFT][COLOR=Indigo]Hello eveyone, Happy New Year.I have been lurking here for weeks , reading posts for inspiration, and figured I should finally introduce myself and take an active part in this place I enjoy so much.My journey started November 19th, and so far I have been very pleased with my weight loss and overall health (I just feel good).I am a stay at home mother of 3, and caregiver/POA for my 80 year old mother.I am also an avid gardener. I am very lucky to have wonderful family support for my new way of life, and have 3 sisters changing thier way of eating with me.(although they dont have as much to lose).I walk 2 miles pretty much every day, unless is just too cold, (like right now).I want to thank you all for the advice I have read on the forums, and in advance for all of it I know I shall read in the future.
Peace
Kathy

Anyone from SEK is OK in my book! Welcome!
My favorite place on the planet is Oswego. (Truth)
Been to so many neat places over the years and many foriegn lands. I have never found anything that beats the warmth of that little place.

Wecome, and congrats on that great start!
FYI, in case you cant get out to walk, there are some great videos by Leslie Sansone that is indoor walking,,,there are one and two mile workouts, as well as the frim walk one. The are really great, thats what I am using cause I cant seem to get myself to go outside and walk. But these really work up a sweat. Maybe you can borrow them from the library to see if you like them.
They are called Walk the Walk.
Well,,,gotta go do mine. Check back with ya later!

Hi Kathy! Welcome to the TDC!

You do have your hands full! Caregiving alone is a very challenging job. But it sounds like you're juggling all the demands and challenges well and losing weight too!

Good luck to you!

Donald
