Im having a hard time measuring out ounces of cheese. Is there a rule of thumb for cheese? Specfically American and Cheddar.

Because a block usually comes in 8 oz. I cut the block into 8 peices and then more if I want them smaller. As far as American or Shredded I don't know I guess you would need a scale.

I eat four ozs of hard cheddar cheese a day, cheese is so low in carbs i don't worry about the weighing too much!! Generally, an inch cube of cheese is approx 1oz and its been fine for me so far. hope it's of help.

I have to admit I eat tons of cheese, cream, cheddar, mozza, way more than 4 oz a day. It has never been a problem for me on this WOL. Lucky, I could not live without it. Funny, I use to think it was one of the most fattening things i ate.
