I used some of the low-carb bars while in induction because of their portability. I did it primarily because I was afraid of being stuck at work or somewhere else without a meal option. My fear was that I'd be so hungry that I'd end up eating french fries.
I didn't experience any problems losing that I could attribute to the low-carb bars. I can tell you many of those bars contain sugar alcohols that don't agree with MY system very well. You might want to read about sugar alcohols here . Not all low-carb bars contain them, but many do. I had to stop eating them because it just wasn't worth feeling so terrible. I found other portable food options. Also, I'll tell you that once I was out of the carb cycle, I no longer craved sweets at all. Having a low-carb bar was merely a way to have a portable meal. I'm lucky...it was never about have a low-carb alternative to chocolate or sweets.
