Default coffee and a whoosh?

Well, I'm not a coffee drinker and very rarely have it, but on Friday night, my SO, me, and some friends went to see Lord of the Rings, Return of the King (an awesome movie, despite it's 3 and a half hour length) and we went out for some breakfast afterwards. Well, I had like 5 cups of coffee, as it was 2:30 in the morning. I drank about 2 cups of water for each cup of coffee so as not to dehydrate myself. The next morning I woke up with a 3 lbs whoosh, and I never have whooshes! The weight is still gone as of today (Sunday). I wondered if any of you have ever experienced this and whether you think that weight will come back on?

I used to be a big coffee drinker but gave it up when I started Atkins. Now I have about one cup per week, and usually on that day I do lose weight. I had noticed a correlation, but didn't want to rely on it. I feel better not drinking coffee, but I so love the taste that I indulge once in a while. Since caffeine is a diuretic, it might have helped you lose some water weight you were holding on to. I know I have problems with water retention due to an adrenal problem, so it's always great when I drop water weight as well. Way cool!!
