Good morning.
Interesting from yesterday-when I ate the Chinese chicken and brown rice (about 1/2 cups worth) I wasn't hungry in the afternoon. Does this mean I should be eating a whole grain with lunch (NOT pasta)? I was getting my carbs from salad and fruit and yogurt. Just wondered......

Hi Elaine
It could be the answer for you - watch what happens during the first 48 hours after eating something new - you can usually tell if something works or doesn't from that - remember my fruit whooshes from months ago - everytime I ate melon, I whooshed the next day -- that happened last week :: off to the store to buy melons ::

I am down another 2lbs!! I honestly did not expect to lose until next week sometime after my TOM. But, I will take it!!

I am currently reading Atkins......yes, it has good info I think I am kinda doing a hybrid of both. I don't really have a "doctor".....one of the downsides of military medicine. I go to a clinic. But of course anything major I would.

I did Body for Life/Body Rx. I found the food to be incredibly boring. All those protein shakes, cottage cheese, and oatmeal.....blech!! And lowfat CC is just nasty!! But the workouts are good. I do a similar workout. There are many different ways to lift. I am taking a break from the gym until Jan, but I will be doing periodization type workouts again. I have some info on it if anyone is interested

Right now I am having a hard time to be honest.....those holiday sweets have been sneaking past my lips too much - a little bite here and there adds up. I will look up my holiday cookie recipe and post it soon.....my kids want to make it next week. UGH!!

I will get thru this

Robin

Good morning

I am having what seems to be the worst case of PMS I have ever had in my life It is so bad that I can't even laugh at it. I am thankful that DH is out of town until Monday. I did get some the progesterone cream yesterday but I can't start it until the 7th day after the first day of TOM. I am still not sure when exactly that is since I have been spotting since Wednesday, do I count Wednesday? To add to my horrible mood, I checked the bank early this morning and my paycheck wasn't there. I switched accounts and it wasn't in either account. I truly came as close to nervous breakdown as I ever had in my life. Turns out my new bank doesn't update their system until 7:30am so it was there after all

I applied for a new job, please pray for me. There are two openings for a budget analyst at the Army base here. I am more than qualified, I was a supervisory budget analyst before I was transfered here and recieved many honors while in the position. It would sure be nice to get back to where I was before. ( I worked at a base in Texas that closed in 97, took a down grade to come here )

Lissette - Thanks for the info on Dr Lee, did you know he died suddenly of a heart attack in October? How sad I am going to look for his book this weekend.

Robin - WTG!!!! Stay away from those Non-LC treats

Rebecca - Nice to see you post. Hope everyone is feeling better

A big hello to our new ladies ,Citygirl & Alisha......it is Alisha isn't it? Sorry, my short term memory is not very good these past few days

Orang - How was your birthday? How are feeling? I feel like I have been neglecting you

Bawdyflex - YOU GO GIRL!!! I plan on registering for the hair site this weekend and play around with some new styles. DH is gone so I should have the computer to myself all weekend I have seriously considered taking his NFL CD-ROM and hiding it from him, how bad is that?

Elaine - Maybe grains will be the ticket. It is hard to gauge on what one meal does as it could be a number of things. You may have to experiment to see.

Rob - So....what's for dinner?

to anyone I missed!

Robin:

Re: weight loss - be careful with the non-LC treats.

{{{ Ellie }}}:
Hope the progesterone cream will help - glad the bank thing was just a difference in updating time.

Praying for you to get the better job - I've done the career roll-back thing a couple of times - not fun.

Bawdyflex - I love the name. Wish we had a person to go with it :P

Lisette:
How are things going in the snowy cold north - we have had big flakes of sky falling all day, but it's been too warm for it to lay.

Wendy:
Come off cloud nine long enough to let us know you are alive.

Rebecca:
Let us know how you are doing - we have missed you.

Marnie:
Do I need to call the Mounties and put out an APB?

Welcome again to CityGirl and Alisha and hi again to Elaine.

Are we all going over to Yeti Claus' house for dinner? I hear his chocolate mousse is out of this world...

Thanks for all of the welcomes. I usually post late at night, but wanted to check in. I will try to overcome some of my shyness and post as often as I can.

Evening everyone!
Well I did it, It could of been worse, I ate some thin and crispy pizza hut meat lovers pizza, Actually I had 3 slices and only ate 1/4 of the bottom, I left the crust and 3/4 of the dough part, and did NOT touch any of the bread sticks, it tasted pretty good, I HOPE that I did not mess up to bad, I guess if my face is all swelled up and my hands are hurting Saturday, than I will know what caused it! Also our family here in SD moved up our Christmas celebration to tommorow, so I will be looking like a fabulous halloween pumpkin face!HA oh well, if you play HC, you pay!

Robin, WTG!!!!

Elaine, that is interesting about the high fiber grains filling you up, maybe you should play with that and see if that causes any cravings ect...

Ellie, no I did realize that he had passed until yesterday! He was such an authority on this subject also! You will be in my prayers and thoughts for a better job!

Orang,Things are going pretty good here, i have got to get going and pack for our Christmas trip to Rapid, then we are taking off from there to my folk's house in Illinois until Friday! I will be a little scarce here on this thread for a while, but I will try to sneak in when I am at my mom's house!

Merry Christmas everyone!

A BIG HELLO to our new people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
