Question What to eat when you get sick????

I am a little worried about this. I just started my diet about 7 days ago and I still have one more week to go for the induction faze. I got the stomach flu today and I just wanted to know what to eat????

I normally would eat soda crackers and warm 7up. So now I am really confused any suggestions.

You might try some broth or chicken and vegetable soup. I've found that settles well on the stomach.

If you can't handle the soup, just make the soup from some chicken with vegetables like onion, celery, mushrooms, and drink the broth. It's actually much better for you than crackers and 7-up. Sometimes cheese sits well on not-so-well tummies, too. If you could eat that it would give you some protein and calcium. If hard cheeses don't work well, try a little cottage cheese (I know it's not for Induction, but if I were sick and still on Induction I'd give it a try anyway.)

Hope you're feeling better soon!

I have a read posts here in the past and they recommend Chicken Broth as well. I have a few cans in the pantry because I know I will come down with the flu like clockwork every winter. Check the recipes section for some soup ideas to try as well.

I'd go for scrambled eggs and sugar-free ginger ale or Vernor's.

Hope you're feeling better!

I usually go for live natural yogurt when my stomach is upset - it helps to re-populate you with 'good guy' bacteria. Peppermint tea can also help to soothe your stomach.
Hope you feel better soon.

The broth or "boullion cubes" are a good idea. Diet gingerale would be my choice also.
