I just have to say that since I started exercising (30 minutes a day on my Mtn Bike w/ Resistance) has REALLY paid off! I had been going back and forth between 183 to 187 lbs for the past 3 months. I kept losing & regaining the same 5 lbs! Some of this was due to my eating patterns, but I am now down to 177.5 and I can honestly say I owe it all to exercising (and I'v only been exercising for about 5 weeks). I wish I had known that it would make SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE! Just wanted to share.

Thats funny. I was stuck at 187 and cranked up my exercise to break the stall. Worked great even though I had been exercising before.

Congrats!

Exercise is really an important part of healthy living. Eating right and exercise go hand in hand.

Great job! And thanks for the encouragement to work out more consistently.

I've found the excercise bike has worked well for me too. I'm staying on induction for as long as I can, and doing 30 minutes on the bike everyday. So far, I'm averaging about 5lbs lost per week. Believe me, it's great motivation to keep excercising and stick to atkins.

When I first started exercising heavily, I actually gained a pound. That was extreamly depressing. Then I noticed thorugh measurements my body fat had gone down. Doing some math I figured out I had gained a pound on the scale, but I had gained 6 pounds of lean weight and lost 5 pounds of fat. That was a ton of motivation and tought me the scale was evil and not the best way to measure progress
