Hon, everybody wants to blame everything on Atkins - from rising egg and meat costs to acne. It's all Atkins' fault - NOT!! Next thing you know someone is going to want to blame all the rain we got in Ohio this year on Atkins. I ignore most of the bad about Atkins I hear and take the rest of it with a metaphorical grain of salt.

What they need to blame are the rising costs of feed, labor, transportation and the amount the middleman takes for being the middleman.

Very interesting, however, I have still only been paying about .99/dozen. I think that is what I have always paid, except for sales. Oh well, guess we had to expect this, huh?

I know that my demand for eggs has certainly increased. I used to buy a dozen eggs about ever other week, sometimes every third week. Now I have started buying them in the 30 count flat containers. This week was the first time to do that so I am not sure if it will be enough. May have to buy two flats next week.

I understand that I was in the grocery business for 7 years. Was just posting how theres an article seemingly every day blaming Atkins for the rise in the price of something or putting someone out of business. Yesterday was an AOL article about poor bakers going out of business because no one eats bread anymore

I jsut noticed last week shopping that eggs were up to $1.35/dozen! even medium eggs are over $1... I was so shocked...I mean just that they jumped so suddenly...its still a pretty inexpensive food.
