Thumbs up WOW CHANGES>>>

WOW I leave you guys for a few weeks and come back here and MAN what changes..LOL I can't believe the awesome work our moderator has done here.. Well unfortunately the last few weeks have been very unkind to me..My eating got of track somewhat.. and as of last week my walking/exercising has been put to a halt.. At least for a while..The reason it has been put on hold included two trips to the emergency room for me..I woke up one morning and was unable to get myself out of bed without pain..I literally rolled out.. That night hubby brought me to the emergency room where I was prescribed anti inflammatories for my back..DIAGNOSIS: A pulled muscle in my lower back.. NOT I then ended back in there there on crutches and a back brace..where there I saw my own doctor after a 6 1/2 hour wait..Like I said to hubby.. Maybe I should go in the parking lot and request and ambulance bring me in..We were only a few waiting in the waiting room and every person that came in after me were called in first ahead of me.. And I'm talking people who came in 4 hours after me..Hubby went to the front desk and said DId you people lose my wifes files.. We've been waiting here 4 damn hours and she's ready to pass out..They finally called me in and I waited there another 2 1/2 hours.. The nurse asked me on a scale of 1-10 how would I rate the pain.. I said and 11.. enough said..She then asked if I wanted a wheel chair and I said no I'm better off standing..Finally my own doctor came in where he suspected I have a pinched nerve.. I am to go back to him in his office this week where he'll decide if I need further tests..Which I might add I will..The pain has lessened quite a bit but it's still there..Even after almost completing my meds he prescribed..so anyhow here I am again..Restarted low carb last week and am down 14 pounds so far..And hopefully to remain on this my favorite program.

OOOOoooo, I HATE that back stuff! I've put mine out pretty badly in the past, but not as bad as that. I can sure sympathize, though - that HURTS!!!!

Welcome back (sorry 'bout the pun), hope you like our new look!

So sorry to hear about your back, I can definitely relate. I've been plagued by disk problems for years, including one very traumatic surgery (which I will never ever do again). It's really a shame that emergency room doctors seem to rate back pain as very low on their priority list. I've had that kind of treatment too while being in incredible pain. If they only knew.

Well anyways, I hope things get much better soon and good luck on your continuing success with lo-carbing!

Raven
