Unhappy Back to "cheatfree" day one...

Attended my husbands Christmas party last night. It was a great time. The buffet was fab...enjoyed roast beef, lamb, lots of veggies and a salad. Had lots of rye&rain and a glass of red with dinner. Danced up a storm to the ABBA cover band (they were great!!) and, other than the alcohol, didn't have a prob with sticking to the plan. Till the ride home..........in my self induced booze haze I had a total lapse in judgement. I insisted the cabbie stop at the 7Eleven for...........................a HOT DOG!!!!! Do you believe that!! I can't believe I scarfed it down without even thinking about it. I am just shaking my head over this one. It has been so long since I'd whooped it up like I did last night and I guess old habits die hard!! I am pi**ed that I ate it but I'm not feeling too guilty. It's more a feeling of embarassment in myself and I feel the need to confess!! This little "incident" most probably kicked me out of ketosis so I'm sucking back the water like crazy today and, now that I have purged myself due to this confession, getting right back on track!! Thanks for listening!!

I am glad to hear you had such a great time Delta Fox. Dont beat yourself up for your small indiscrection. It does not sound too bad. At least you didnt throw caution to the wind until the very end of the evening. You could have done a lot worse. Just chalk it up to experience and learn from it. I always say I have learned a lot more from my mistakes than I ever learned from doing things the right way.

Desserts are my downfall. I still say you did a-ok by only eating a hot dog. I would have probably scarfed down and entire tray of desserts, ha ha ha!

A hot dog on a bun probably set you back 25 grams of carbs or so. DEFINATELY a better mistake than the dessert tray.

Okay..30-35 grams. <shrug> It's STILL a lot less than ONE trip to the dessert table.

Seriously, drinking sends me STRAIGT to teh potato chips, so I've learned to either assign someone to smacking me if I go near them, or I have to watch what I drink.

It could always be worse! Just eat clean and the excess water that you are drinking will help! BTW, i LOVE your cute kittie with a lime helmet!

Drinking is baaaad. Not only does it put the weight loss on hold it also seems to encourage my "who gives a crap" attitude!! No more for me 'till New Years Eve!!!
