Question

Question about Splenda...

My Splenda says 1 tsp =less than 1 carb!

Can I assume it's .5 or half a carb or should I count it as 1? I think I already know what you're going to say but I want to hear that I only have to count it as half! Tee Hee!

You're quite right, Crystal, 1 teaspoon of Splenda has 0.5 carb (it's actually very slightly less

).

And for the record, 1 little packet has the equivalent in sweetness to 2 teaspoons sugar or Splenda, and therefore is counted as 1 carb.
And, as there are 48 teaspoons in a cup, 1 cup of Splenda has 24 carbs - useful for recipes.
