Have you read the book?

This diet has to be done properly in order for it to be healthy ad for it to work.

Get a copy of "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution" and read it before continuing.

Default Help for you

Go to your search engine and type in Atkins Stalls and Plateus (spelling ?). I was searching around last night and found some helpful info on why you might not be losing weight.

Hope you can find it....didn't save the link.

Where's your fat? Are you scrambling your eggs in butter? Using oils when cooking your meats?

Are you drinking tons of water? Taking all your supplements? Exercising?

Have you checked your ham for hidden carbs? Corn syrup or -ose's?

Are you eating enough?

There are so many factors to be involved with each individual person. Make sure you've read the book regarding the plan you've chosen to follow - and reread it. If it is indeed Atkins, you will succeed if you follow the plan to a "T". I have no doubts in that.

Good luck to you, Trish!

Hi Patriciar

I could be way off here, but are you living in Asia by any chance? Your profile doesn't say where you are located.

Something about your tone and the way you said "no rice" in answer to the question "diet plan" made me think that you might be in Asia. Apologies if you're actually in Canada or something, and ignore the rest of the post!

Anyway if by any chance you are in Asia, I can only echo what people have said before - it really is vital to read the book, especially here. Low carbing is not easy here because many of the low-carb foods that you get in the US, for example, are not available.

So you really need to be very knowledgeable about the subject so that you can make the best choices possible in the circumstances you find yourself in.

The other thing I was a little bit worried about was your weight statistics. A goal weight of 112 lbs at a height of 5 ft 4? Isn't that a bit on the low side? According to the weight chart I have, the lowest healthy weight for your height should be about 114 lbs even if you have a very small frame.

To be honest if you only weigh 132 lbs now (as per your profile) you are not technically overweight to start with either! Maybe just a bit of toning up at the gym is required instead of dieting?

Hope things go okay for you from here on!

1) Get the book "Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution"
2) Here is their website address.... Atkins Site.
Trying to "wing it" without reading the book or really understanding it will likely work but it will be by far the hard way.
You can do it! I know 'cause I have.
